Björn - My story in short

Being born in 1981 I spend most of my childhood in Norther Germany as the eldest of five siblings. I grew up having a deep passion for electrical engineering and loved tinkering with anything electrical. Growing up, it was the most obvious choice that I had to study electrical engineering as my degree in university and power electronics with focus on renewables as my major as I'm always interested to help lessen environmental impact on the earth.

Working with people throughout my teens and adulthood - starting with youth groups in our church and scouts organization - I realized that I have the innate ability to lead people as a team to bring the best out of themselves, achieve higher goals, and break limiting beliefs for my team members.

Having graduated from University in 2008, I started working for AEROVIDE as electrical engineer. Soon after in 2010 I moved to Shanghai as customer support manager satisfying the company's demand for local support together with a Chinese team while learning to work with the Chinese people and their culture. During this season in Shanghai I also met my Shanghainese wife and our first daughter was born. As work in China was split into office periods as well as field support periods, I had the opportunity to collect a good amount of practical experience in the field helping me to broaden my field of knowledge. The same time I could use my skills already to complete our projects successfully and efficiently.

In 2016 I returned to Germany taking over the position as Head of Electrical and Control Systems which allowed me to contribute even more into the development of wind turbines globally. Aside from leading the electrical and control system team I also started leading projects globally which broadened my global experience further.

Being promoted to Technical Director in 2021 I took over leadership over further disciplines and became of the companies' management. I enjoy the ability to directly contribute to the company's and team members' growth and do my part to sustainable success.
